This afternoon I once again met the Transport Secretary Grant Shapps along with Nottinghamshire colleagues from Sherwood, Mansfield and Bolsover to ask for our Maid Marion line to be opened up for our isolated communities. This line will join Kirkby to Pinxton, Selston, Langley Mill and Nottingham and open up no end of opportunities for the whole area. Working together with our local Tory MP's gives us some real clout in Government.
We are looking forward to welcoming Grant and officials to meet Network Rail and other stakeholders in the constituency and drive this forward.
